WHAT IS A HERBAL TINCTURE

A herbal tincture is an alcohol based herbal medicine, made by placing herbs into a glass making jar, together with

either ethyl alcohol, vodka or brandy. The herbs will sink to the base of the jar and the liquid such as Vodka will change

to a dark brown colour as the alcohol extracts the active constituents from the herbs used, to make a highly potent and

concentrated herbal medicine, which is then diluted in warm water before taking in small doses.

The Bach Flower Remedies are made with Brandy.

Our tinctures are made with Vodka and are left in their making jars in direct sunlight as are the Bach Flower Remedies

during making, contrary to the traditional method of making them in dark cupboards at low temperature and the liquid

strained off the herbs after about 2 months and then bottled and diluted before dispensing by 1-1000ml or 1-100ml

depending upon the formula. We never strain off the liquid from the herbs, we only strain off what we need as per order

this allows maxium maturation and concentration. Hence our formulae are unique and exclusive to us.

Our herbal tinctures are the strongest on the market today, according to professional dowsers such as Rolf Gordon at

Dulwich Health. We do NOT dilute ours after making or before sending out in dispensing bottles as per order and so they

are extremely powerful and only small doses of 1 ml per dose are required. Alcohol multiplies the constituents of the

herbs used, and so they are far more powerful and potent than other forms of herbal medicine such as infusions or

decotions etc.
